Statista and Forbes Choose the Best Employers 2026

Based on an independent survey of over 300,000 employees in 50 countries and more than 5 million corporate ratings, the seventh edition of the "World's Best Employers" ranking recognizes 900 global companies.

Workplace Environment Assessment and Brand Perception: The Methodology Behind the World's Best Employers 2026 Ranking

The "World's Best Employers 2026" initiative, developed by Statista in collaboration with Forbes, recognized the 900 best companies to work for globally. In its seventh edition, the study collected opinions from professionals in over 50 countries through independent online access panels, generating a representative sample of the global workforce.

Sample Scope and Quantitative Evaluation Model

The study evaluated more than 6,000 companies with significant international presence, consolidating over 5,000,000 corporate ratings distributed across 25 industrial sectors.

The methodology assigns scores using two main metrics:

  • Direct Score: Reflects employees' willingness to recommend their own employer on a scale of 0 to 10. This indicator constitutes the most heavily weighted factor within each company's final score.
  • Indirect Score: Measures the external perception of the employer within its industry, allowing respondents to evaluate and recommend other competing companies within their same sector.

Eligibility Criteria and Quality Validation

To be included in the ranking, organizations had to demonstrate a relevant international presence, grouping the evaluations of their subsidiaries under a single parent brand. The process included quality verification controls, such as reviewing interview duration, detecting inconsistencies, and confirming corporate data, to ensure the validity of the results.

From the editorial perspective of next+, the methodology applied by Statista and Forbes confirms that employer branding has ceased to be a decorative internal communication exercise and has become a strategic asset for global competitiveness. The predominant weight of direct recommendation (internal NPS) demonstrates that talent retention and market reputation directly depend on the actual employee experience in the workplace. For Executive Committees and Human Resources directors, measuring themselves against transparent global standards allows them to identify gaps in organizational culture and align talent development with sustainable corporate growth.
