Luis Molina announced the closure of his professional stage at FEMSA effective April 30, 2026, after nearly 14 years with the company and 36 years of experience in the corporate world. The executive served as the Global CIO of the company, leading information technology, operations, and digital transformation initiatives in one of the largest retail and consumer companies in Latin America.
Molina himself shared the announcement with a tone of gratitude towards the organization that welcomed him for over a decade: "I leave with an enormous sense of gratitude and recognition towards this great company that allowed me to learn, apply the best that was within my reach, fail, be accountable, and try again," he wrote on his social media.
The retirement does not imply a total exit from the technological and business scene. Molina announced that his next stage will be in a role as an advisor, counselor, and mentor in information technology, with the aim of sharing experiences with technological and business leaders. A transition that reflects the value of the accumulated knowledge in environments of high operational complexity and large-scale digital transformation.
The departure occurs at a time when companies in the retail sector in Mexico and the region are maintaining active processes of digitalization and automation. FEMSA, with operations in multiple countries and business verticals, has been one of the benchmarks of this transformation process in Latin America.
