VTEX launches a community for B2B commerce leaders

Builders Club, a new community for leaders who modernize complex B2B commerce operations.

VTEX launched on August 17 B2B Builders Club, a leadership community in commerce aimed at technology, sales, marketing, procurement, and finance executives facing the complexity of modernizing B2B commerce operations, according to Retail Dive.

The community is designed for manufacturers, distributors, and any B2B organization facing contract pricing, tiered account hierarchies, and channel alliances, a set of challenges that often translates into manual orders, fragmented reports, and slow digital adoption within these companies.

According to the information released, membership includes access to Commerce Conversations, quarterly webinars, a weekly newsletter, community meet-ups, and the possibility of being invited to exclusive events, including a two-day work retreat in Kohler, Wisconsin, where a small group of 25 members will work on architecture decisions and lay the groundwork for collaboration on the initiative.

The launch of this community addresses a structural problem in B2B commerce: legacy systems and manual processes that create constant operational friction, a very different scenario from B2C commerce, where platform standardization is already much more advanced.

The initiative adds to a broader trend of building proprietary user and customer communities as a way to generate brand loyalty and retain business customers in a market where platforms are increasingly competing for the attention of decision-making executives with budget authority.

For companies in Latin America, the emergence of these communities anticipates a shift toward a more peer-networking focused approach than simply selling software licenses.

From the perspective of next+, the launch confirms that e-commerce platforms are already competing not only for technical functionality but to become the go-to space where executives define the best practices of an industry that still lacks mature standards.
